White T-Shirt 4 Ways

When we think of a white tee we automatically go to jeans and sweat pants.  Well, here are some ideas on how to wear a basic white tee.  They look fabs with everything from colored pants to dressy skirts!  You can literally go and get a men's Hanes t-shirt and start thinking outside the box.  Here are some ideas we came up with.  Mix and match what we show on our mood board and you'll have a daily outfit for the entire week!

Best Mood Board is...

Congratulation Kirstie Eaton!  We love your Mona Lisa inspired mood board from Day 1 of the FBC 101 online class.

Kirstie stated "I composed my mood board based on the colours present in the Mona Lisa. Using red, dark brown, blue, and black, I created a casual late fall/early winter outfit.  The dark belt contrasts the overall brightness of the outfit, but it also helps balance out the golden accents. The warm jacket and boots give a sense of the season."

Great job Kirstie!  You definitely have a bright fashion future ahead of you :)

Watch This!

Since holiday break is quickly approaching, you may find yourself with some extra time.  Take a look at some fun and cool fashion-related movies to keep you occupied!  Happy Holidays!

1.  Seamless - a real behind-the-scenes look into emerging designers competing for the coveted CFDA's Designer of the Year award.  This documentery will give you a glimpes on how much work it is to start your own clothing line and the passion you need to keep going.

2.  The Devil Wears Prada - this comedy is an exaggerated look into the life of a fashion assistant.  Although fictional, the author of the book did work for Anna Wintour.  Many people speculate that this movie is based on working for Anna herself.

3.  The Women (1939) - this movie does not have a fashion topic but the wardrobe and fashion styling in the film is beyond extraordinary.  The world famous Adrian, who was a talented costume designer, designed everything in this film and it is breathtaking.  The film is in black and white but the fashion show scene is in color (first time color was used in a film) and it's awesome!  Stars the infamous Joan Crawford.

4.  Unzipped - stars young designer (at the time) Isaac Mizrahi.  This film was made in 1994 and shows Isaac as he prepares for his upcoming collection.  The cool thing is all the original super models from the 90s such as Naomi Campbell and Kristy Turlington are in the film too.  This film is definitely iconic.
